What is the PADI Rescue Diver Course?

What is the Emergency First Response Course?
The Emergency First Response (EFR) Course equips you with the essential primary and secondary care skills needed to respond confidently in medical emergencies. Covering CPR, first aid, and emergency response protocols, the course provides practical, hands-on training that is valuable both in diving and everyday life.

If needed, we offer optional accommodation at our on-site guesthouse for the duration of your course, making your training experience more convenient, comfortable, and stress-free so you can focus fully on your diving. A peaceful retreat where you can relax, making it the perfect place to be after the high-energy morning dives.
Course Overview:
Day 1 – Welcome to South Coast Diving Co
Meet the team, get introduced to your gear and be informed about the diving plans for the next days.
If you require the EFR course, it will be scheduled for the first day
Day 2 – Shallow Water Skills Training
In confined water you learn the different rescue scenarios with a focus on process and situation management
Day 3 – Open Water Skills Training
On the dive boat you learn how to manage realistic, simulated rescue scenarios which will increase in intensity. Urgency and managing stress is part of the training.
Day 4 – Rescue Scenario Practice
The instructor will test your rescue abilities in a more realistic simulation, both increasing stress and intensity of the drills.
Requirements:
- Advanced Open Water certification
- Valid EFR training
